The chair is done!!!
Kathy and I finished the chair!!! It is currently on display at the Bank of the San Juan's Main branch in downtown Durango. The chair will be auctioned off on Thursday March 18th @ 5:30pm at the Durango Arts Center. Buy your tickets in advance because it will sell out!!! Advanced tickets are $15 and are available at the Durango Arts Center Box office or the KDUR station. Please go to the KDUR website (KDUR.org) for more information and to see the other artist work. Dear Emily, I LOVE THE CHAIR! Best purchase I made all year, though I got it at a steal. Your and Kathy's chair, as well as most other works at the auction this year, went for well below their value. Our cat, Cajonas, loves it too and slept on it all night long. (I covered it with a sheet first so as not to mess up the upholstery.)
ReplyDeleteAs I mentioned to you, I have a chair I would like to give you, which I purchased about 30 years ago at Scandinavian Design. It is still very sturdy, just needs new upholstery. You can email me at maymaureen@yahoo.com and we can make arrangements for pickup.
